In the article fr. D'Ambra, a Pime missionary to Philippines, president and founder of the "Silsilah Movement", based in Zamboanga City (Mindanao, Philippines) explains the activity of the movement, made up for Christian and Muslim community leaders working together both in the educational and in the social field. In the article, the Author starts with the teachings of Vatican II, which made Christians appreciate Islamic spirituality and the approach to it as a special field for inter-religious dialogue in order to challenge the widespread idea of "clashes of civilization". He analyses the basic elements of Islamic spirituality. Spirituality, as a way of love, as a journey of purification and as a process of transformation, becomes the core element for the dialogue between Muslim and Christian, particularly in the Filipino context, where he sees the challenges and opportunities of Dialogue not only between Muslims and Christians, but also with people of other faiths and traditions present in Asia
