The Author says that no theological analysis of Christian-Muslim relationship can be done by sidestepping Jewish contributions. Besides, the main theological issue regarding divine and human freedom, human initiative and divine grace, and trust in divine providence, have all been the main target of religious studies and research of all three religions. According to the Author, in fact, St Thomas Aquinas has already produced in the Summa Theologiae an interfaith, intercultural achievement by his interaction with Islamic scholars, such as Avicenna and Averroes, as well as Moses Maimonides. Then the Author goes on with the analysis of several issues involved with this interfaith and cross cultural study of the three theological traditions.
