The A. argues that in Canadian context multiculturalism has helped to protect the rights of people from diverse group. Muslims are nearly 1% of Canadian population. But who are the Asian-Canadian Muslims? When and how did they arrive? What type of challenges are they facing? Recently, the Muslim World League office in Canada (2003) estimated that there are more than 700,000 Muslims in Canada, 320,000 of whom reside in Ontario. Of all Muslims in Canada, 60% are Canadian citizens, and one-quarter to one-third were born in Canada. Among the major cities in Canada, Toronto has the highest concentration of Asian Muslims (300,000), and Islamic institutions. Financial economic benefits, a better lifestyle, family connections, and children's future are the prime motivating factors for Muslim's migration to Canada
