Abstract/Sommario: Except on tourist brochures, the indigenous peoples of Laos, Thailand, Vietnam, and southern China (Yunnan) are the least visible, and most excluded, of citizens. Abstract/Sommario: Twenty-four experienced students/anthropologists/development workers look at the realities associated with contemporary issues faced by the 20 million indigenous peoples of Southeast Asia. Changing social structures, ecosystems, economies, expectations and governance are described in a way which will enable informed discussion and action.
