Abstract/Sommario: Child labour in India, as in most poor countries, seems to be an intratable problem, yet the abuse of children cannot go unadressed. Taking an 'empirical view', the A. urges Indian government, Trade unions and NGO intervention, besides legislation, economic incentives and education to impact this abuse
