Abstract/Sommario:
The population of Bangladesh has doubled from 14,5 million in 1801 to 28,9 in 1901, up to 130,02 million in 2001. But because of the government initiatives in family planning programs at national level, the family fertility has declined almost near about 50% (6,7 children per woman in 1950-55 to 3,46 children per woman in 2045-2050).
