Witchcraft and sorcery had, and continue to have, an impact on belief systems and values in many Melanesian societies: in most cases practices of sorcery are passed from father to son, or to the next best male (close kin). The article dwells of three sorcers of Yapariningan Village, of Wantoat people in Morobe Province. The author had direct information about these cases.
