Saving Sahyadri
Abstract/Sommario:
Tigers are on the retreat from the Sahyadris, a National park in Maharashtra State, and the predator's preferred prey, the sambar, is on the decline. The tiger ladscape can support a population of 15-20 adult tigers within 10- 15 years provided the wild ungulate prey is restored through active interventions, including measures for protection and reitroduction
