Abstract/Sommario: The questions and issues that De Nobili faced in his context are still alive in today's theological circles, where the salvific nature of non-Christian religions and the uniqueness of the Christian revelation are discussed and debated. Moreover, today a large number of Hindus from India has emigrated to the West. Their growing significance raises the questions about the need for a new kind of dialogue between Christianity and Hinduism

Abstract/Sommario: The level of poverty in Nigeria in recent time is frightening and alarming. The endemic character of poverty in that country perhaps necessitated the varied responses to the problem. The Government and of the non-governmental agencies like the Church are actively involved in finding a solution to this problem. The intervention of the Church in Nigeria in alleviating and fighting the scourge of poverty is based on the social relevance of the Christian Faith in the public sphere.
