Abstract/Sommario: The Global Hunger Index report paints a gloomy picture of South Asia and Sub-Saharian Africa. In South Asia, India was ranked 67th, lower than Pakistan (52th); only Bangladesh was ranked below India (68th) Bangladesh, India and Timor-Leste have the highest prevalence of underweight children in Asia, at around 40%.
